not technically a question but i get really pissed off when people say that it is impossible to call people or text on the itouch for both of these things you need a jailbroken itouch
for texting
go to installer then go to sources and click edit then add and then add the source: twenty08.com/installer then install the chatting program sign in to the program and click "new im" if you are in the U.S. add +1 then the area code and the number type your text and then you're done! (your friend can reply to this message)
to call
add the source: touchmods.net/rep.xml then install the sip-voip application then go to voipcheap.com and download their program open the program and make a username and password then open the sip-voip program and type in your username and password and where it asks you for your server type: sip.voipcheap.com then you should be done (at this point you can only call people, you cannot recieve calls and you cannot speak) to speak you must purchase an itouch mic

you can recieve calls on your itouch by going to http://www.ipkall.com on the site click *sign up* and use your sip-voip username as your sip phone number then use sip.voipcheap.com as your sip proxy then use your real email adress and make up a random password…good luck!!!
