Can You Split the Line Coming Out of Your Voip Device and Attach Two Phones?

April 30, 2009

I need an additional handset for my voip phone. I am thinking about splitting the connection coming out of the voip device and attaching two phones. Does anyone know if that will work?

The phone output from your VoIP device should be able to handle more than one unit, just like a normal landline. But, just like a normal landline, there's only so many devices it can electrically drive. But two shouldn't be a problem.
