add the source: touchmods.net/rep.xml then install the sip-voip application then go to voipcheap.com and download their program open the program and make a username and password then open the sip-voip program and type in your username and password and where it asks you for your server type: sip.voipcheap.com then you should be done (at this point you can only call people, you cannot recieve calls and you cannot speak) to speak you must purchase an itouch mic

SIP is the signalling protocol for most VOIP applications today.

I was wondering if anybody knew of any good SIP (session initiation protocol) simulators , i have tried it on OPNET and OMNET ++ , but if you guys know any new open source simulators or discrete event emulators , it would help a lot ..

The OS Android utilizing the 3G network, T-Mobile requiring you to go with the unlimited data plan if you have the phone. With the OS being open source, what is preventing someone from developing an application that would utilize a VoIP service and the unlimited 3G network bandwidth to allow for unlimited minutes?

(My guess is that because the coding is in Java, and Java doesn’t have the power to create such an application. Anyone else care to explain if I’m correct in this?)

i want to contribute in open source project. My interest area are network security, voip security, web security or finance domain (FIX protocol for example). Can anybody guide me how to conritbute? I know of sourceforge and freashmeat but not very clear about the status of project listed, popularity etc.

If so how is it done (what codes do you use…ajax? css?) and how long does it take to code it.
I'm currently doing a project about this and need to find out more in-depth info.

The IVR server would intercept VOIP calls and handle them. From what I can tell, there would be no need for hardware since it will all be done internally. The server could contain the code to convert the VOIP signal, if that is even necessary.

I have been doing searches on this but I thought I would throw it out here as well.
