I have a decent DSL stream of 1.5 mbps and a pretty decent upload…..we have had Vonage for some time now and the service sucks…..the quality of the sound is bad, the line is staticy, very scratchy, cuts in and out….I tried to call and cancel but they put me on hold for 45 minutes only to tell me their account managers are gone for the weekend. Is there anything I can do? My DSL is pretty much at max speed? Are there better VoIP services out there?

My home phone is not ringing anymore and I would find a software (actually it's better if it's a freeware) that can tell you when someone is calling, and maybe answer to that call with my computer.
I use VoIP for making my call, and they go trough the Hitachi AH4021 router.

I am a datat guy getiing into VOIP. So please don’t be Voice brutal. I am trying to understand why and what you could use a CTI port for.

Also, can you use the intercom feature for paging? And if so, does it have to barge?

Skype is not a contact manager but you can autodial from it. I want to find an application that is a contact manager that also has the ability to auto dial and make PC to phone call over the internet free.
