typically you type in the URL into the address bar of your browser. You know where you type "www.google.com". I am assuming you are trying to get to the configuration page of your wireless router or something like that (if not the following still applies).
Go to Start-->run-->type in cmd-->then hit enter
In the black box type in ipconfig /all and hit enter
Look at the IP address of your gateway. If it is 192.168.1.1 then in your browser type in
