Does 'covered under pending U.S. and foreign patent applications' mean that, the patent applications are still pending, and the technologies is covered under or protected by the pending U.S. and foreign patent applications.

"Pending" means they have applied for patents, but have not yet been approved or the paper work is not yet complete. But they are still protected as stated above.
