yahoo works with a 56kbps modem....with one speaking at a time...
if both parties have a DSL or a good 300kbps bandwidth(min)
then skype is a better option.
Skype requires more bandwidth than yahoo..on 56kbps , skype's bad. yahoo is okay, it works.
And yeah, by functionality what they do is same.
