Is There a Way to Connect a Company’s VoIP Phone to a Users Home Computer?

November 8, 2009

I am doing a project for school and I have the basic fundamentals down for implementing the system. I was wondering if it was possible with a functional VoIP Phone at an office for a user to connect to his/her phone from their home?

Software VOIP back to the company phone system from a laptop or home pc is possible, do a bit of research on companies like nortel and cisco.

First I must say what a very thoughtful gift for your girlfriend!! Very sentimental and sweet! I hope she holds onto you!! ;o)

You can add some scent to the yarn it'll hold for a bit, but will eventually fade and if you scent the sticks the wood will hold it as well, but may turn it a little darker in color.. If you lined the inside with some cotton balls those would hold the scent longer and glue some fabric over it so it's nicely lined inside.. another way to hold scent ALOT longer would be to use a little corn cob, holds scents very well.. I make air fresheners with them. You can find at Wal Mart or a local pet shop too. put a little under some fabric and the scent will work for you too..
Best Wishes! Hope she appreciates it with whatever you choose to do!

Not likely it is bugged. The phone it's self you can look at and see if it has a bug (roaches??) on it, under it or in it. The service is pretty much "bug proof" unless you are on a wireless router. If so, then ANYONE with the equipment and the motivation, can LEGALLY listen in. They can not, however, repeat any portion of the conversation. There are laws regarding listening to cordless conversations and what you can do with the information, but the "air ways" are still free. There are also encryption methods that can be used to get better security on Voip services.

If you have very good Internet service then almost any VoIP service provider should be able to give you good service. But if your Internet connection is poor or intermittent, then you will not like any VoIP service provider.

I work for a company that goes in and determines why a VoIP does not work and it almost always proves to be a network problem and not a VoIP service problem.

Have a look at http://www.intervoip.com. They offer a service, believe it or not, of as low as 1 cent per minute (UK -India) Intervoip is one of the many Betamax companies.
So it's not an Indian company, but guess what matters more is the fact you can make calls to India.

Source: gigaom.com - Tuesday, May 10, 2011 While Darrell thinks that Microsoft buying Skype in a $8.5 billion deal is probably good news for video chat users , there will probably be some Skype customers who are worried about the implications of the acquisition and may be looking for alternatives. While there’s probably no one service that provides a feature-for-feature replacement for Skype, there are plenty that offer great VoIP and video calling services, some of which are even better than Skype’s. Here is a list of some of our favorites: VoIP/Phone service Google Voice . Voice is Google’s VoIP phone service, which launched to much fanfare in March 2009 . It provides free PC-to-PC voice and video calls, free PC-to-phone calls within the U.S. and cheap calls elsewhere (for users in the U.S. only). One of Google Voice’s most useful features (again, only available to U.S. residents) is that it enables users to have one number that they can use anywhere — any calls placed to that...

boil it...skin on and make chicken and dumplings... and then make some chicken noodle soup,
fry it... bake it and put spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese on top once its done... OR.... ( i did this last week) once the chicken is cooked and cooled, cut it off the bone and take bell peppers, spices, tomatoes, and saute' them and then take a flour tortilla and roll up all the sauteed' items in it and top it off with sour cream and shredded cheese. (or.... take two flour tortillas,...put one in a skillet, but the sauteed' items on top, place another flour tortilla on top and cook it and then flip it over and cook the other side.)
