Voice over DSL is reputedly better than Voice over IP. Could anyone tell me the difference, in layman's terms preferably?

voip is more common and it works with ip phones where as voice over dsl requires a pc with software but can be better as it can use the broadband to send information where a voip uses a limits but normally reserve amount of bandwidth to insure that calls are clear and reliable
