VoIP to Standard Phone Adapter?

May 2, 2009

Is there any adapters out there that would allow you to connect a SIP VoIP wireless phone to standard analog phone line?

For example:

I want to use a Linksys WIF300 across my wireless intranet to make a phone call on my phone line?

It would be far cheaper to simply buy an analogue phone for your line. You can use a DECT cordless phone if you want to be wireless.

After that, in your example you say you want to use your Linksys wifi phone to make outgoing calls. The easiest way to do that is to open a SIP or Skype (check which is compatible with your phone and network) account, enter the account details in your Linksys, and away you go, you can make outgoing phone calls.
